Introduction to Zentangles

Have you ever heard of Zentangles art? This traditional method is an easy-to-learn, relaxing and fun way to add creative and unique patterns to your craft projects. Modern writing tools and classic patterns have made doodling more fun than ever before.

 

Taught by certified guest instructor, Katie Butler.

It’s easier than you think and absolutely no experience is needed to attend class. Sign up soon! Zentangle classes are always popular, space is limited and registration is required.

In class you will learn how to use inexpensive supplies to create quick and easy hand drawn embellishments, borders and textures. We will walk through the step-by-step creation of several different patterns and borders. You will leave class with a printed guide, templates, several specialty pens, class tools, paper and additional projects to complete at home. 

All supplies are included in class.

Sunday March 18, 2012 we are having a special day of one-time-only classes.

Normally we are closed on Sundays.
When we received the opportunity to give you two awesome classes with two awesome teachers we jumped on it!

These Tattered Angels Certified Educators will start with the first class on Sunday morning (exact times coming) and the second class will be directly following.

Class spaces are limited so sign up early.

No spaces will be saved without payment in advance.

Each class will be approximately 3 hours.

OUR FIRST IN-STORE CHALLENGE

For those of you who love Graphic 45 papers you will absolutely love this!!!!!!

Purchase a Graphic 45 challenge kit for only $8.
(A $15 value)

(kits are limited so hurry in to get yours)

The Challenge is to make a project with the Vintage Graphic 45 Paper and supplies that come in the kit.

Project may be anything as long as it contains items from the kit.  You may use up to 3 additional accent colors.

Return the project to the store by March 19^th,  2012.

Have your name, phone number and e-mail address printed on a 3 x 5 card.

Each project will be displayed in the store with an assigned number.  Our customers will vote for the Number they like the best.  The project getting the most votes will win. 

Voting will be over March 29^th and
 Winner will be announced Saturday March 31^st.

Tell your family and all of your friends to come in and vote for your creation!!!

(one vote per visit please)

WINNER will get one sheet of each of the 12 papers from one of the

 FOUR NEW LINES of GRAPHIC 45.

The WINNER will be featured on the SCRAPBOOK UNIQUE blog, in our news letter and on the Unique Crafter’s Challenge blog.

Valentine's Stack Boxes

Come join us in February for this wonderful Valentine's Day project. Teri has transformed this set of paper mache stack boxes using Canvas Corp Papers and lots of special ribbons and die cuts.

This set is perfect to decorate your house for the holiday and then collapse down to store. Also makes a great gift.

Cost for this project is $39 and we will be offering
one class on Friday, February 10^th.

Several of these kits have already been sold so class will be limited to only a small group of people. Stop by the store or call today to reserve your space. 

Asian Mini Album with Woven Hinge

By special request, we are repeating the ever popular Asian Mini Album with Woven Hinge.

Four Year Anniversary Crop Event!

Here at Scrapbook Unique we are so excited to announce our Four Year Anniversary Crop Celebration. Come and join us for a two day crop with tons of friends, fun and freebies. We are giving out tones of door prizes and everybody will receive free stuff just for attending.

Valentine's Cards for Children's Mercy Hospital

Children’s Mercy hospital collects cards every year to pass out to the children who are spending Valentine’s day in the hospital. Come in and join us as we make valentines for those sweet kids and their families.

Participation is FREE! Bring your crop tools and we will provide the paper and supplies. No sign up needed, just drop in between 11:00am and 5:00pm to make what you would like.
